
Energy and mining executive Michael McPhie possesses more than two decades of experience in the base metals and precious metals industries. After serving as a senior policy advisor for Natural Resources Canada and as the CEO and president of several mineral exploitation companies, Michael McPhie co-founded Falkirk Environmental Consultants Ltd, which assists Canadian companies with project management complexities and guides relations with state and federal governments and Indigenous groups.
Michael McPhie’s extensive background in mineral development and environmental assessments has made him a valuable expert in the energy industry. He has led the Audit and Finance Committee of Independence Gold Corporation since 2012 and was recently appointed the chair of the board for Ridley Terminals, Inc.
Mr. McPhie’s opinions on responsible mining and environmental stewardship have appeared in the Vancouver Sun, Western Canada’s largest broadsheet newspaper. He has also shared his views on the need for government intervention in the drug crisis gripping British Columbia.
